NIGERIA TOURISM INVESTORS FORUM AND EXHIBITION, NTIFE 2022: FTAN announces date for the 6th edition.






The Federation of Tourism Associations of Nigeria, FTAN is set to hold the 6th edition of her annual flagship tourism event; Nigeria Tourism Investors Forum & Exhibition, NTIFE 2022. This event was first held in 2013 in collaboration with the Federal Capital Territory Administration.

NTIFE is an annual event that seeks brings together, Countries, State Governments, Tourism establishments and investors in the tourism industry in order to create the much needed synergy and collaboration for the development of tourism in the country.

The aim of this event is to:

1. Address and proffer solutions to some of the challenges bedeviling the tourism industry in Nigeria.

2. Showcase, highlight and promote local tourism investments and potentials in Nigeria.

3. Utilizing Nigeria population to kick start patronage of Nigeria Tourism products and destinations.

4.  Create a platform for sellers to meet buyers through networking.

5. Create opportunities for States and Local Governments to showcase the relative advantages and opportunities available in their localities to potential Investors,

In the previous editions of NTIFE, government agencies had the opportunity to throw lights on some of the government policies that are formulated for the development of tourism in Nigeria while private sector investors called for need to address some of the challenges of the industry ranging from insecurity, lack of infrastructure, stiff policies, taxations and others

Investors and exhibitors were able to connect with participants who were interested in their products and services.  Art and craft business owners were connected to clients who ended up becoming their major customers.

States like Bayelsa, Lagos, Delta, Cross River and Ogun exchanged their success stories with other State representatives in the Event.

The airliners were not left out. Ethiopia Airline, Turkish Airline and others were present to introduce new packages to their prospective customers in the travel and tours businesses.

The 6th edition of NTIFE is coming up on the 15th of November, 2022 in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. The committee has carefully selected a theme that, obviously, will help address the major challenges dwarfing the growth and development of the abandoned non-oil sector of the Nigeria economy. Government Funding.

The theme of this year is Budgeting and Funding: effective tools for sustainable Tourism. Speakers and panelists have been carefully selected to marshal out ideas and pathway for government to adopt in massaging the industry to its elevated position as key economy growth driver as we have it in other countries of the world.
