FTAN President Demise: Plateau State Commissioner of Tourism Culture and Hospitality pens her Condolence

ADIEU ALHAJI RABO SALEH

On behalf of myself, my family, the Ministry of Tourism Culture and Hospitality,  Tourism Practitioners,  and the good people of Plateau State, we mourn the unfortunate demise of an astute tourism professional and an ICON, Alhaji Rabo Saleh, who died in the early hours of Friday, 16th April 2021 at his residence in Abuja.

His sudden and unfortunate death came as a rude shock and a huge loss, not only to his family but to Plateau State and the entire Nation. It has robbed the Tourism industry of the services of an outstanding, hard-working professional tourism Practitioner,   a humble friend who was not only dedicated in the vision of repositioning the State tourism industry but promoting Plateau State and Nigerian tourism to the world.

The state has lost a great pillar in the tourism sector, who has never disappointed whenever he was invited for programs on Tourism development in the State, always offering advice and guidance that impacted hugely.

Described as one of the finest that worked the streets of Nigeria's tourism sphere, the role he played and the contributions he bequeathed as the  President of the Federation of Tourism Association of Nigeria (FTAN), Vice President of the National Association of Nigerian Travel Agencies (NANTA) and Board member, National Tourism Development Corporation  (NTDC) where he served until his demise.  The foundation he has laid will remain an indelible legacy.

We share in the sorrow and pains of his family, the Pyem Nation, and well-wishers at this period and we pray that God will grant them the courage to bear the loss, as we pray for the repose of the soul of the departed.

Hon. Tamwakat Weli

Commissioner of Tourism Culture and Hospitality

Plateau State
