FTAN PRESIDENT, NKEREUWEM ONUNG, BAGS YET ANOTHER AWARD.

The Cross River State FTAN organized her Tourism week from the 8^th - 10^th of December 2022 at the Dome, Calabar, with the theme: RETHINKING TOURISM. The event featured a Town Hall Meeting, a City Walk, and the Tourism Hospitality Award & Dinner Night.

The high point of the event was the bestowment of the Tourism Icon Award on the President of FTAN, Mr. Nkereuwem Onung, for his contribution to the growth and development of tourism in the State. Explaining the purpose of the award, the State Coordinator of FTAN – Cross River, Mr. Charles Ogar, said that Mr. Nkereuwem Onung has displayed exceptional leadership qualities which have taken the Apex body to an enviable height.

One of such qualities includes his ability to bring the industry players in Cross River State together to form a formidable voice in the Tourism industry.

Other notable personalities awarded for their contributions and support in sustaining the industry in the State include H.E Col. Pam Ogar (Rtd), Mrs. Justina Ovat, Chief Abiodun Odusanwo, Chief Eyo Ita, H.H Roland Obu, and others.
