FTAN President, Nkereuwen Onung, condoles with 2nd Deputy President, Susan Akporiaye for loss of her mother.

On the 13th of May 2024, FTAN President, Mr. Nkereuwem Onung, led a delegate to pay a condolence visit to its 2nd Deputy President, Mrs. Susan Akporiaye, in her office, for the loss of her mother, Deaconess Favour Onwionoko. 

In company of the President was the 1st Deputy President, Alh. Badaki Aliyu, the FCT Vice President, Alhaji Yunusa Mohammed and the Executive secretary of the Federation, Mr. Precious Okonji. 

During the visit, the President shared the sincerest condolences to the bereaved, assuring her of the Federation's support in this difficult times. " We were deeply saddened to learn about the loss of your mum and as a valued member of the federation, we are here to show our solidarity and let you know that you are not alone in this time of grief " 

The 1st Deputy President, Alh Badaki Aliyu added that the visit was a poignant reminder of the strength and unity within the Federation. He also encouraged her to brace up and prepare for a successful home going ceremony for mama. 

Mrs. Susan Akporiaye was visibly touched by the visit. She expressed her gratitude for the kind words and gestures. Also with her, at the time of the visit, was her loving husband, pastor Ray Akporiaye, who thanked Mr. Nkereuwem and his delegate. He said he is overwhelmed by the visit and his happyto know that the entire Federation is with him and his loving wife and family in this difficult time. 

The visit was concluded with a moment of prayer for the family, led by the President, Mr Nkereuwem Onung. He prayed for unity and peace among the extended family as they navigate this difficult time and also for mama's soul to rest in peace.
